You can see from my introduction that I used to have a Hohner 120b****4 voice which like a fool I sold. I bought about 12months ago one of the 72b****Chanson Chinese Accordions, which for the money you cant't complain ?

My question is I am selling the Chanson on, not because there is anything wrong with it, but I have come across a mint Weltmesiter 80b****Sorrento, would this be a jump upwards in quality or a side step ?

Or if you had the choice of the Weltmeister 80B****Sorrento or a Hohner Verdi 3 80B****( German Made) ? are they on par with each other or the Hohner better

Could you roughly age the Verdi and the Sorrento ? I was thinking
Verdi 70s-Mid-late
Sorrento Late 60s - Early 70s ? or within that age group ?

I`d say a sidestep.
I don`t think you are going to see much difference in quality or playability between any of the German accordions unless you move up to their high end models.

Well I ended up buying a 96 bass Weltmeister with 11 Treble Regiesters and 5 bass Registers.

And without doubt this is a step forward, the overhaul action of the accordion is vastly seperior to the Chanson I have.

I`m sure it`s a better box. With 11 treble registers and 5 bass it`s definitely not a students model . It should have 4 sets of treble reeds, many voices, and able to project plenty of power.
And 96 bass should be more than enough.
Good luck and a lot of enjoyment playing it.
